We love the week of the County Fair around here! Our awesome neighbors let Garrett show one of their prize calves and he won a blue ribbon--along with the 30 other kids in his group. (Asapargus the Cow is still too little to show. Maybe next year...)

Abby got in a little practice session for the rodeo...

Our Blue Ribbon Boy! He was so proud of that thing and loved packing it around and telling everybody he saw, "I showed a cow and won this ribbon and money."

Garrett's buddy, Timber, also showed a cow and they had fun playing around after the show.

Of course, we had to check out the fair after the cow show. This really nice guy had a fire truck he had converted into a traveling grill. It was pretty cool! Garrett and Abby were really checking it out and he invited them to climb up and play in it for a few minutes. They loved it! (And I love nice people who understand/remember what it's like to have little kids!)

The kids love playing in the tractors more than just about anything else at the fair.

We attended the rodeo that evening with my parents, Brett and Chelsea, and Em and the gals. The kids loved it and we all had a good time!

We walked through the cow barn on the way out and Garrett had to crawl in and make sure "his cow" was okay.
