Garrett was so excited to start kindergarten this year. He couldn't wait to go to Back to School night and meet his teacher. Her name is Mrs. Batty and Garrett is just sure she must love bats and they will be learning all about them this year.

A little (or big) piece of my heart got on that bus with him. It was crazy sending him to school and just hoping he would be okay. No tears were shed by mom or student, but I think we were both a little nervous and tried to be brave for each other. :)
We were so excited for Garrett to get home and all gathered at the bus stop to wait for him.

The bus finally arrived and we were able to welcome him home from school. He had a great first day and totally loves school. He even likes doing his homework--let's hope that lasts for at least a few years!
