The Biggest Day of the Year...

...is the 24th of July, at least in our little town.

The day starts out with a fabulous parade. Abby was pretty excited about it, as you can see.

So were Emmy and Ella...

...and this awesome crew. Greg's cousin Dani and her darling daughter Kaylee joined us for the celebration, along with Eric, Gini, and Gini's sister, Lori.

Bring on the candy!

Greg was nominated to be in the dunking booth this year, and I was shocked when he actually said yes. He had a slight nervous breakdown and almost backed out at the last minute, but he was a good sport and went through with it. :) He was one of the more popular dunking contestants and brought in some good money for a new sound system and war memorial for the town.

Garrett was a little upset the first time Greg fell in the water. Thank heavens for Uncle Eric!

Garrett's buddy, Timber, couldn't wait to send Garrett's daddy into the tank. He actually has a pretty good little arm on him and easily dunked Greg.Gracie gave it a shot!

Once Garrett realized Greg was just fine and it wasn't hurting him, he warmed right up to it and couldn't wait for his turn. He laughed hysterically every time Greg fell in. (For the record, Greg said the old dunking tank isn't the greatest and it did hurt him every time he fell in, but we couldn't tell because he is just so tough. Now you know...)

Gini and Lori rocked it in the volleyball tournament with my brother, Brett, and a few of his friends.

We enjoyed cheering them on.

Garrett was fantastic in the horseshoe competition. (If only they gave prizes for doing tricks on the post, huh?)
The fire department got out their hoses and cooled all the kids off with this giant slip and slide.

This is how we all felt by the end of the day...poor Abby fell asleep in her stroller while eating an ice cream cone. It was a big day for a little girl!

After the celebration, Greg took Kaylee and Dani on a little horse ride...a perfect end to an awesome day!
