Last Saturday we went to the Desert Star Theater with Greg's family. We go at least once a year and it is always a blast. This particular show was dedicated to making fun of Twilight (not really Twilight as much as the people who are obsessed with it). It was hilarious and I got quite a few good chuckles in, mostly just because the main characters reminded me so much of my former students who were constantly talking about Edward and falling in love with a vampire.
The only picture we happened to take at the theater was this one of Eric. I figured I better post it. :)
While we were at the theater, my brother Brian and his wife Sher watched Garrett for us. They gave him the royal treatment and took him to the zoo and then out to lunch. It must have been one of the finer days of his young life, because he has been talking about "B Sher" all week. Every time he sees an animal on TV, in a book, or anywhere, he'll start saying "B Sher" and repeat it over and over. It's pretty funny.
He was so exhausted from his day of fun he fell asleep on the couch at Grandma and Grandpa's house watching his favorite movie, "The Doggies." (Also known as "101 Dalmatians.") Garrett is talking up a storm these days and is so much fun. He repeats just about everything we say and amazes us with the new words he comes up with and the things he remembers and connects. Oh how we love our little Buster!
Cousin Gracie came to visit while her mom was helping work at our house. Garrett and "Gracea" (as he calls her) snuggled up on the couch to watch, what else??? "The Doggies."
We were at the new house today and I actually remembered my camera. It's still hard to get a good picture of anything, but I tried.
Here's Garrett being so helpful and playing in a bucket of garbage.

My little brother Brett and his wife "Selsa" (Garrett talk for Chelsea) have been working pretty much around the clock at the house. It seems like they're always there working and when we pull in the driveway of the new house, Garrett usually says "Bett Selsa" because he knows he'll likely be seeing them.

Not a great pic, but here's the living room.

Garrett is heading downstairs to do some masking and taping. Again, he is such a HUGE help whenever we visit the house. :)

Here's the front entryway. I LOVE the way these columns turned out.

When we were planning our house, I told Greg all I wanted was a library. And since I always get everything I want (haha), here it is!

Greg's sister Mal painting/working it on the phone.

"Selsa" just painting away!
We have had so much help at the house and are so, so grateful to everybody who has helped. I just happened to get pictures of these folks today, but there have been many, many more who have given up hours of their time to help us and we will be forever grateful!!!
Finishing a house while 9 months pregnant has been an interesting experience. Between Garrett and being pregnant, it's been difficult not being able to help as much as I would like. The general consensus has been that I make a better babysitter/food provider than a worker, but it's hard to watch everybody slaving away on our house while I stand there like an idiot. I've been so pleased with the way everything has turned out and everybody has done such a great job! We're still a few weeks out, but it's moving right along and I am getting so excited!
In other news--I am now considered "full-term" and the baby could come anytime. I was dilated to a 3 and 70% effaced at my appointment on Wednesday, so the doctor said I'm ready whenever, but he is really hoping I will make it at least one more week. That really spurred me into action and I finally got my bag packed and tried to get semi-organized. We will likely have a few weeks in our apartment with her before we move into our new house, so I'm just doing what we need to do to get by. It's going to be a wild ride the next month or so, but we're saddling up and ready to go! YEEHAW!!! :)

Both are getting so close! I'm excited for you!
If this little girl comes out with red hair (slim chances, I know) ;) I vote for Allison...I really wanted to name Jenna Allison, for some reason I think it goes great with red hair...we had talked about it with Kaleb, but then he was a boy. When I brought it up for Jenna- Jeff didn't really care for it anymore, go figure.
Good luck!
Nat, your house is beautiful! I can't wait to see your house and baby girl!
You go girl! I feel ya ;)
I'm so excited to hear the big news. Hope all is well!!
And LOVE the house. What amazing family you have.
