A New Cousin

Introducing Miss Annabelle Catherine Phillips!

She was born Tuesday, March 3 at 4:50 PM. She was 7 lbs. 9 oz. and 20.5 inches long. She is beautiful and we couldn't be more thrilled to welcome her to our family. We took a quick trip down to visit (Thanks to Jer and Jandi for letting us crash with you!) and let Garrett meet his new cousin. Garrett thought Annabelle was pretty cool and wanted nothing more than to wrap his little arms around her, but his mean dad wouldn't let him.

Here's the proud new dad!

And the lovely mother. (I told Cathy I wouldn't publish a picture of her, but since she looks darling, I figured it's okay. Greg just looked at this and said, "That's a really cute picture of Cathy and the baby." So it's all Greg's fault--don't hate me Cathy!)

I love this picture of Greg and Brian.
We joined Brian, Mal, and Eric for a little lunch at the Brick Oven. (Love that place!)Garrett was having a blast playing with Uncle Eric. I'm not exactly sure what Garrett's doing...

Wild Horse Riders

Greg's little bro Eric and his lovely friend Jen came up today for a little visit and horse ride. It was a GORGEOUS day and we had a fabuloso time.

I haven't been on a horse since before I was pregnant with the G-Man, so I was a bit rusty. My horse quickly figured this out and decided about 5 minutes into our ride that she was done. She turned around and headed towards home. I was pulling on the reins and trying to turn her around, but it was no use. I started getting nervous she was going to throw me--I got bucked off a few years ago and don't recommend it--so I quit fighting her and just decided to let her go. Just like a true prince, Greg came galloping back on his white stallion to save the day. (Okay, that was corny and the horse wasn't white, but close enough.) He finally got her stopped and I hopped off and told him I was going home. I grabbed her lead rope and took about two steps and then said, "Never mind. I don't want her to win. I'm coming, even if we have to walk the whole way." Greg smirked and off we went. I walked her past the point she had thrown her previous fit and climbed back on. Naturally, she turned right back around and headed towards home. I was more determined this time, but it still wasn't helping. Greg told me to hop off and grab his horse. He had a little "meeting" with Miss Fancy Pants, and something the Horse Whisperer told her worked, because I climbed back on and off we went. I tightened up on the reins and was more firm with her, and she was perfect! We met up with Eric and Jen and had a great ride.

Greg and Eric--They are looking so much alike these days! It kind of freaks me out.

Yours Truly! I'm looking sensational, but told Greg he better get a picture so my sister-in-law Chelsea believes I actually went. :)
P.S. The last time I felt this sore was just about one year ago at this time after I had just given birth to Garrett. OUCH!

Garrett the Menace

Garrett was playing in his bedroom/guest room/junk room yesterday while I was putting away laundry. I stepped into the other room for a minute and heard some commotion. Here's what I discovered:

Garrett had crawled into the corner and brought a few "toys" to play with. Something about the look on his face and the way his hair is sticking up reminds me of a little boy named Dennis who also used to like to stir up a little mischief...

Garrett's birthday is rapidly approaching. Just in case anybody is still trying to decide what to get him, here are a few of his favorite things to play with.

  • The vacuum
  • The dustbuster
  • The broom

Anybody looking to hire a janitor? I've got one!

Happy Birthday Susie Q!

Today is my wonderful mom's birthday! We celebrated with a little fiesta at Fredrico's Pizza.

The birthday girl!

The Party Animals...

My mom and Em (my sister) wore the same sweater. Love that! At least it's cute!

Susie Q getting ready to blow out the candles. Isn't she a cute mom?

It was a fabulous party and tons of fun. Brett and Chelsea suprised my mom (and all of us) with some pretty big news, so you'll have to check out their blog. (I don't want to spoil any surprises!)

Susie Q is a great mom and grandma and I am so grateful she is a part of our lives. I don't think I could have picked a better mom, and we have so many fun memories together. She has worked so hard and sacrificed so much for our family, and I am just beginning to truly understand and recognize all that she has done. She is a kind-hearted person and always cheers for the underdog. She cares about everyone--Greg always teases her because she loves to read blogs about people she has never met and worries about their problems. She is totally stalwart (but not at all self-righteous) and has humbly and quietly taught me what it means to be faithful and serve. She is punctual, dependable, practical, and a hard worker. All of these qualities (and more) are why she was voted TEACHER OF THE YEAR at Wellsville Elementary this year! YEEHAW! (She just loves it when we talk about it!)

Happy Birthday! We love you!

A Few New Tricks

I've finally been able to get some video clips to upload. Enjoy!

Here's Garrett's first trick: Walking! This video is about a month old...it was the first video I took of him walking, so I decided to post it anyways. He's really got the walking thing down now and is a crazy man. Doesn't he look cute in his dino jammies?

Next trick: Talking on the phone. He's been doing this for about a week. Garrett picked up my phone one day, held it up to his ear, started talking, and walking around. He loves to walk around the house "chatting" with all of his many admirers. This isn't the best video, but it will do.

Trick Numero Tres: The Sippee Cup/Straw Routine. We've been trying to introduce Garrett to the sippee cup for a few months now, but he's just flat-out not interested. Apparently he's happy with his bottle and sees no need to change. He does love to drink from straws, though. (We discovered this when Greg was letting him play with the straw in his Diet Coke. Greg told me not to worry because Garrett couldn't get anything out, but the next thing we knew, Garrett was wide-eyed, swallowing DC and loving it. Too bad mean old mom took it away...Garrett was pretty ticked.) Anyways, I saw a sippee cup the other day with a straw and wondered if maybe Garrett would like it. He goes crazy whenever anyone around him has a drink with a straw, and now he has his very own. What a big boy!

Garrett's Last and Best Trick: Throwing a Fit! He really is a super little guy, but what good is a redhead without a little spunk? I think I had done something totally awful here like not letting him eat my camera.

La Dia de Amor

Greg has been cleaning out our storage shed and discovered a box of old pictures. Many of them were from our dating days and it brought back some fabulous memories. Considering that today is the day of love, I think I will share my very own LOVE STORY with you. I hope you're excited!

It all started in the year 2002. I was a junior at "The College" and was living in Provo in the luxurious Glenwood Aparment #14 with these foxy ladies.

Mr. Gregory had just moved down the hall into Apartment 26 with these studs.

It was "move-in" Saturday in Provo. This is a CRAZY day--all the students return from summer jobs and move into their new apartments and the entire town is pretty much insane. I had lived in the Glenwood the previous year and had gone home for the summer and had just moved back. Greg had moved in during the summer. The summer months in Provo are pretty chill--especially at the Glenhole. The population shrinks to about 1/3 of what it is during the school year and there are always plenty of parking spots. Greg had left early that Saturday morning to go hunting and arrived home later that evening to madness. There were students carrying boxes everywhere, cars were parked illegally all over the place, and he couldn't find a parking spot anywhere. He ended up parking down the block and was grumbling to himself about how much he hated the place as he was walking into our aparment building.

As luck (or fate) would have it, I just happened to be walking out the door with my BFF Megan Jane Howard just as Greg was walking in (cursing) with his arms fully loaded with his hunting gear. Being the kind person I am, I sweetly opened the door for him and asked if he needed help. He pretty much ignored me, murmured "No, I've got it," and made a beeline for the stairs. I could see he was about to drop something, so I walked over and said, "Really, let me help you." He responded curtly, "No, really, I don't need your help," and proceeded to walk down the stairs. At this point, either Megan or I (I can't remember which one) said something to the effect of, "Oh cool. You live on the bottom floor? That means you're in our ward." Greg said something like, "That's great," and walked into his apartment. At that point, (according to his roommates), he slammed the door, dropped his stuff on the table, and said, "It's going to be a long year." They asked him why, and he replied, "I just met a couple of Elementary Ed majors looking for marriage." (I swear this is true!)

Megan and I were like, "He's cute, but kind of grumpy," and went on our way. I saw Greg occasionally over the next few weeks but didn't really think much of him. He thought a lot about me, but mostly just about how ditzy and stupid he thought I was. The bishop had asked me and another guy in the ward to go visit all of the apartments and welcome the new people to the ward, and Apartment 26 was on our list of places to visit. We knocked on the door and Greg answered. He was thinking, "Oh great, it's the dumb girl," but his gentleman training from his mother kicked in at that point and he invited us in and offered us a seat. We had visited about 20 apartments that day, and most of the people just looked at us like we were stupid, so I thought it was really nice that the guys in this apartment had actually invited us in and taken the time to visit with us. We had a nice chat and went on our way. After we left, Greg decided that maybe I wasn't so bad after all and he had probably harshly misjudged me.

A few days later, Megan and I were walking into the apartment building and walked by the windows to Greg's apartment. The windows were open and Greg's brother/roommate Mike and friend Nate were singing "Barbecue Stain" by Tim McGraw and dancing around. Megan and I stopped at the window and started singing with them. They laughed when they saw us and invited us in. Greg came out to see what was going on and we ended up staying and hanging out until midnight when we had to leave their apartment (compliments of the BYU Honor Code). At that point, we pulled some chairs into the hall and just chatted and laughed until about 2 AM. I remember thinking how funny these guys were and how excited I was to have some new guy friends. As we were leaving, one of them called out, "Hey, what time are we coming over for Sunday dinner tomorrow?"

We saw them at Church the next morning and they told us they were still planning on coming over for dinner, so we scrounged up what we could and threw together a feast. We had a great time and all became really good friends. We all hung out a lot together over the next couple of months and had lots of fun. They came over often on Sundays for dinner and we always ended up having such a great time.

Greg, Mike, and Nate had all gone to high school together at Granger High in West Valley and they were pretty much obsessed with it. They talked about Granger all the time and had this stupid Granger blanket they thought was about the coolest thing ever. One day, some of my roommates and I went over to visit them and nobody answered the door. We poked our heads in and noticed the coveted Granger blanket sitting unattended on the couch. We stole it and took it back to our apartment and put it on the bed in my bedroom and left to do something else. While we were gone, Greg and Nate decided they were going to serenade us with a guitar number and came to the window of our apartment. They looked in and saw the blanket sitting on the bed and realized we had stolen it, so they came in and stole a bunch of stuff from us (including our phone, my Church binder with all the ward info in it, and our friend's purse). This went on for a week or so and we kept breaking into each other's aparments and stealing items and then exchanging them for ransom. Finally we called a truce and took this picture with the blasted Granger blanket.

Greg's birthday was approaching, so our aparment decided to throw him a Barbie birthday party. We hadn't ever met a man as "manly" as Greg, so we thought he needed a little more pink in his life. We even delivered individual Barbie invitations to each member of their apartment. They thought we were crazy (and rightfully so), but the party was a smashing success. (I love this picture of Greg--so handsome--even back then!)

Nate and I discovered we had an equal love for Zach Morris, Kelly Kapowski, and the rest of the crew, so we would get together every day after school to watch "Saved by the Bell." Greg would get home from school right as SBTB was ending and Nate was leaving for football practice, so we would usually end up visiting for awhile while we did homework. Greg and I became really good friends and always seemed to end up by each other when our apartments were hanging out.

One Friday he asked me if I wanted to go elk hunting with him the next day. I thought it sounded much more fun than spending the day at the library like I had planned, so I agreed to go along. He called me that morning and said he had something he had to do during the day, but would pick me up later that afternoon. He also mentioned that we probably wouldn't be doing much hunting, so I could dress nicer if I wanted to. I remember getting off the phone and thinking, "Is this a date? That's kind of weird." He picked me up that afternoon and asked me if I would mind if we stopped at Lowe's and picked up a new hammer. We got the hammer and headed up Provo Canyon to look for elk. We took some backroads and ended up dropping down into Heber and ate dinner at "The Dairy Keen." (Great little place!) He bought my dinner and at that point, I was still thinking, "Is this a date?" We drove around some more and headed for home. We had a great chat and the whole day was just really comfortable and fun. I remember thinking to myself, "Greg is such a great guy. I'm so lucky to have him as a friend." We got home and watched "Harold and Maude" (DUMBEST movie ever) at his aparment with his roommates. When I got home, my roommates were all over me asking all about Greg and if it was a date and if I liked him. I can honestly say I had no romantic feelings for him at the time and was totally dumbfounded when they suggested he might like me. I was like, "No way. Not Greg. We're just really good friends." And we were, and still are. :)
We spent the next couple of months just hanging out and getting to know each other. Greg and I are both night owls and would often sit out in the halls, chatting and studying. I was planning on going on a mission and hadn't really thought of Greg at all romantically. He talked to me a lot about his mission and really encouraged me to go and told me I would be a great missionary. We met each other's families (good stories for another day) and really enjoyed spending time together, but it really wasn't romantic. He was (and still is) so easy to talk to and totally non-judgmental and I felt like I could tell him anything and he would still be nice to me.

I went home for Thanksgiving and Greg drove up to visit me during the break. We were sitting visiting with my parents and siblings when my little brother Brett (who was about 17 at the time) walked in, looked at Greg and I, and said, "Have you two come to terms with the fact that you're more than just friends yet?" He then smirked at us and walked into the bathroom. I turned bright red and thought I was going to die, my parents were mortified, and Greg burst out laughing. Apparently it worked though, because Greg kissed me for the first time that night and it's been happily ever after (or something really close) ever since. To make a very long story short, I obviously decided not to go on a mission and we ended up dating for about another year and half after that before we decided to get married.

I had to include this picture of Brett, Greg, and I.

After all, if it wasn't for Brett, we probably never would have been able to come to terms with the fact that we're more than just friends! And, we wouldn't have this little redheaded horse rider to melt our hearts and make us smile. Thanks little bro for helping us out! We owe all of our happiness in life to you.

(As if I could do a blog post this long without including just one picture of my Little G!)

A Silly Sunday

Today has been a funny day with our little stinker! Poor Garrett was so worn out after church that he fell asleep at the bar while eating some snacks. (I swear this picture is real and not staged!)

He borrowed Gracie's "wheels" and took a spin.
He enjoyed some quality time with Brooklyn. He thinks she hung the moon and pretty much anything she does is HILARIOUS (in his opinion). All she has to do is look at him and he starts giggling.

Say "Cheese!"

Garrett was kind of a naughty boy and made a mess in the plants. (The leaves on the floor used to be in the plant.) OOPS!

Don't worry--Uncle Brett took him to Brooklyn's time-out chair immediately. :) At least it made for a funny picture.
Doesn't he look sorry, though?

He moved on to eating the phone cord while we were cleaning up the plant mess.
To end the day, he put Pops' glasses on. Don't you think he looks just like Ralphie? (All he needs now is a Red Rider BB Gun with a compass in the stock and a thing that tells time.)

P.S. Garrett is now an official WALKER/RUNNER! He took his first steps about a month ago and has now perfected the art. I have tried and tried to get a video clip to upload and keep having technical difficulties, so you're just going to have to take my word for it. I'll keep trying!

Finally Healthy and Happy Again!

Let's just say it's been a long couple of weeks for our little crew! Garrett started showing the signs of a cold about two weeks ago. As all parents know, there's not a whole lot the doctors can do for kids with colds, so we just kept hoping he would get better. After about 5 days passed and his congestion and cough started getting worse, we made an appointment to see the doctor the next day. Garrett woke up at about midnight and had broken out in a rash. It was our first rash experience, so Greg and I were a little bit freaked out. We called Greg's brother, Mike, who will graduate from medical school this spring and he told us what to watch for but said Garrett would most likely be fine until his appointment the next morning. Garrett went back to bed and slept great, but still had the rash when he woke up. We took him to the doctor and I was kind of surprised when she told us he had an ear infection--but relieved because at least it was something they could diagnose and treat. They gave us a prescription for amoxicillin and sent us home. The next morning, Garrett broke out in ANOTHER rash which looked different from the one he had the previous day. To make a long story short, we finally ended up switching antibiotics and after being on the $50 antibiotic for a week, Garrett is finally starting to feel better. Today was the first day that I felt like he was back to his old self. It's nice to have my little mess-maker back! (I forgot to mention that both Greg and I were sick during all of this, so we would take turns resting and taking care of Garrett. There were a couple of pretty rough days!)

Mike has been home since Christmas and was flying back to Milwaukee on Sunday, so we decided we were feeling well enough to drive to SLC and meet up with Greg's family for dinner. We had a wonderful visit and dinner at the Macaroni Grill, but all 3 of us were totally exhausted when we got home. I thought this picture of Mike and Garrett was cute!

We joined my family on Sunday for a little Super Bowl fun. We were all hoping the Cardinals could pull out the upset, but it wasn't meant to be. Oh well--at least I could drown my sorrows in Pauline's rice pudding, Marlee's chocolate chip cheese ball (to die for), Jan's brownie mousse cups, Paula's cheesecake pie, and Chelsea's cream cheese brownies. (We put the Andersons (and Chelsea) in charge of dessert and they certainly didn't disappoint!) I was obviously too busy putting on the pounds to take many pictures, but did get a few.

Brooklyn got the baby lotion and gave Garrett a new "do." These pictures really don't do it justice, but it was pretty hilarious.

Brian was also lucky enough to get some hairstyling done. (Notice his wet shirt--this little beautician loves the spray bottle!)

Brooklyn wanted to make her own plate for the occasion. Notice her choice of cuisine--olives and Diet Pepsi. Great meal, huh?

Poor Sparky!

My dear old dad slipped on some ice on Friday and did a pretty good job of beating himself up! He had just gotten out of his truck and was walking toward the house when he fell. He landed in a puddle of water and couldn't get up. He tried to call my mom, but he had dropped his phone into the water and it wasn't working very well. Finally, he got himself up and into the house. He called my mom and she could tell he was in bad shape. She took him over to the ER and they knew he had broken some ribs, but they were really worried about internal injuries. My mom was preparing herself for the worst (surgery) when they came back and told them everything internally would likely be fine, but he had bruised his spleen and who knows what else. They said he could come home, but was going to be very, very sore. We went over to visit when they got home and walked in the door just as my dad started coughing and said, "I just felt a pop. I think I broke another one." It was quite special.

The irony of the whole thing is that my dad was just getting back from the gym where he has been doing physical therapy for his back. He was exposed to a chemical spill at work a few years ago and blacked out and fell, resulting in some major damage to his back. He ended up having to have a pretty intense back surgery and was doing much better, when he injured it again last winter. He has tried everything and finally has totally devoted himself to physical therapy and strengthening his core in hopes that it would help his back. It has really worked and he has felt so much better. He has lost about 30 pounds in the last few months and looks awesome--everyone has been commenting on how good he looks. Thankfully, he doesn't think he hurt his back in the fall (apparently his therapy is working), but is bummed about having to take time off from his work-outs.

True to form, Sparky has been handling this challenge with his unfailing optimism and humor (athough he begs us not to make him laugh because it hurts too much). He did admit this hurts even worse than his back surgery, but I've yet to hear him complain or be grumpy with anyone. The hardest part for him is not being able to hold the grandkids. He coerced me the other day into letting Garrett sit on his lap and I was a nervous wreck the whole time. He had an important meeting at work he didn't feel like he could miss, so he got up this morning and went to work. He came home at lunchtime and thankfully is going to take the rest of the week off. Hopefully he'll be doing a lot of this over the next few days:
And here we have Nurse Susie Q and her cute little helper. (Garrett really likes to help give Pops his medicine.) My mom has been such a trooper through all of this. Despite being Relief Society president and working full-time, she still manages to put my dad first. I know it's been challenging for her to take care of him during these injuries the past few years, but she never complains and is always there with everything he needs. Watching them has really helped me understand the importance of being totally committed "in sickness and in health." I couldn't ask for better examples of how I want to be when I grow up!

Get well soon, Sparky!

Funny side note-- Two other guys in town about my dad's age fell this weekend and were also injured. My mom said, "Well, I guess we're just the old folks now who fall on the ice and end up in the hospital."

St. George, Baby Shower, and Little Redneck

We've been busy having fun (and being sick) so it's been awhile since I've posted. Here are few highlights...

We escaped the cold for a few days and headed down to St. George to enjoy the sunshine. I didn't take very many pictures, but did manage to capture these two little rascals emptying out my cousin Jan's toiletry bag. Gracie + Garrett = TROUBLE!

The little bear got some good snuggling in with Uncle Ric.

All good things must come to an end, so we left the sunshine and headed home to the cold country. It was 65 degrees and sunny when we left St. George and 7 degrees and foggy when we arrived home. I'm still not sure why we came home...

Saturday we had a baby shower for my sister-in-law Cathy who is expecting Little Miss Annabelle on March 1. Check out this cute onesie she received...

Garrett had a great time testing out Annabelle's new pink stroller with Grandma Jan.
The poor little guy was so tired but kept fighting going to sleep. He finally dozed off in the stroller.
Here's Cathy and I with the quilt Greg and I made her. (Yes, Greg really did help!)

Last Christmas (when I was pregnant with Garrett), Greg came home one day and told me had bought a present for the baby. I thought it was really sweet until he brought in Garrett's first BB gun. Now that Garrett has reached the ripe old age of 10 months and is taking his first steps, Greg thought it was an appropriate time to introduce Garrett to firearms. Garrett's new favorite game is to walk around the house with Greg and "shoot" all the lovely dead animals that grace our walls. (I like to lovingly refer to them as "Greg's Stuffed Animal Collection.") I have a feeling I have another redneck on my hands...

How to Hunt Wild Geese

TRUE STORY: When Greg and I were dating, he called me one day and invited me over to watch a movie. I walked down the hall to his apartment and found him on the couch, with a blanket and some snacks, and the remote in hand. I asked him what the movie was and he said it was a surprise, but I would love it. I was thinking how wonderful and romantic he was and really hoping he chose one of my faves, like "A Walk to Remember" or "Return to Me." We snuggled up and as the movie was starting I could hear these strange honking sounds. I was trying to figure out what was going on when the movie title magically appeared on the screen...."How to Hunt Wild Geese."

Apparently our romantic movie watching worked, because we have now added these bad boys to the collection in our freezer.

It never ceases to amaze me that Greg's idea of "FUN" involves waking up at the crack of dawn on a Saturday morning and sitting outside in subzero temperatures. Go figure...

Adios 2008, Welcome 2009!

2008 was a great year for our little family. Here are a few of the highlights...

  • TONS OF SNOW! They even cancelled church on Super Bowl Sunday because it dumped about 2 feet of snow overnight.
  • Greg barely survived a bout with the influenza in March. He missed two straight weeks of work, spent two lovely nights in the ER, and lost 25 pounds in that time. The timing couldn't have been more spectacular--he pretty much missed Garrett's birth and first week of life.

  • Our little Garrett joined our family in March. He decided to come a week early and right in the middle of Greg's illness, so it made for some interesting times. We survived it with the help of family and friends. My aunt Paula stayed with me in the hospital while my mom took a week off of work to spoon-feed Greg soup and pudding and nurse him back to health.

  • Despite the craziness surrounding Garrett's birth, he has been an absolute angel and is truly the joy of our lives. He is a wonderful little guy and is such a good boy. He is a crawling fool and is really getting brave and wanting to walk. He is a great little sleeper and LOVES to eat. He will eat anything, anywhere, anytime. He has 6 teeth--4 on top and 2 on bottom. He is so friendly and loves everyone, especially Santa Claus. :) He loves his blankie--to the point it's getting almost ridiculous.

  • We enjoyed vacations this year in Bear Lake, St. George and Yellowstone. Simple, but fun!

  • We planted our first real garden as a family and had a great time watching it grow and enjoying the harvest.

  • We farmed our own land this year and even entered a bale of hay in the county fair. We won 2nd prize and got $50!

  • I "retired" from my job as a Jr. High English teacher, went back to school at the last minute to cover for a teacher with a pre-mature baby, and "retired" again in November to stay home with Garrett.

  • The highlight of Greg's year was a successful hunting season and securing meat for our family. (What a guy...) He shot an elk with his bow, helped his brother Eric shoot his first deer, and downed a coyote (which was so wonderfully recorded by "me" on this blog) and some other small varmints. I actually think 2008 was a record year for him in that he didn't buy any new guns (that I'm aware of)...

  • We celebrated Greg's 30th birthday in September with a "surprise" party at Maddox with 60 of our favorite friends and family members.

  • Greg has worked so hard to build a giant shed/barn/mancave on our land. It is pretty much finished except for the siding. It has been a big project and is looking great!

  • We have made lots of new friends this year and are really enjoying life in a small town. We now have two horses and a crazy dog!

Here are some of my favorite memories from 2008. WARNING--This slideshow is really long!

2009 is already promising to be another wonderful year. Here are a few things we're looking forward to.

  • Celebrating Garrett's first birthday in March. Get ready for the party of the century! :)

  • Garrett is really excited to become a big brother in July. (Just kidding...Gotcha!)

  • Greg's little brother Mike will be graduating from Medical School in May and we are flying back to Wisconsin to celebrate with him. We are planning to visit Chicago and Nauvoo while we are there. I'm so excited!

  • A wedding from one of Greg's siblings...(There are 3 eligible candidates!)

  • Welcoming Miss Annabelle next month--Finally a cousin on the Phillips side!

  • Speaking of cousins, we wouldn't mind some more on the Petersen side, either!

  • Seeing "Wicked" in April!

  • Greg will be getting his General Contractor's license and will hopefully be able to start making money for us instead of someone else.

  • We are really hoping 2009 will be the year for us to move out of my aunt and uncle's basement and into our own home. Greg built over 20 houses in 2008. Hopefully he can build us our very own in 2009!!!

  • We will celebrate our 5 year wedding anniversary in June. I'm thinking a cruise around the Hawaiian islands sounds like a great way to celebrate. Don't you think?

  • And much, much more!!!
