July 24th

We always love the 24th of July celebration in our little town. It's definitely the biggest day of the year for a place where there are more cows than people.

The parade is always rocking!

This guy, Deese, has been carrying the flag since I was a little girl. I thought he was old then, so I can only imagine how many birthday candles he is going to be blowing out this year.

We were all super-impressed by the airplane in the parade this year.

I serve as the secretary for the town library board (I'm kind of a big deal) and we were so happy with our parade entry this year.

Garrett waved to every float that passed.

The climbing wall was a big hit and a nice addition to this year's celebration.

Brett flew in from Connecticut just to participate in the volleyball tournament.

I always love it when Garrett gets the camera. Yes, I look a bit scary. It was like 150 degrees that day and I had been chasing my children all around the park.
Garrett loves climbing trees at the park and asked us if we could get a tree like this one for our backyard. If only it was so easy...
