There are few things I love quite like a day spent with some of my favorite gals. I always get a bit nostalgic this time of year as school starts again and can't help but think back to my freshman year of college. I must have been living right or something, because I was blessed with the best roommates ever. They were perfect for me and we had so much fun hanging out in Whitney 235.
We're all grown up now (or something like that) with our own little families, but it's just like old times when we get together. We met at Jill's house in Kemmerer, Wyoming and had a perfect day! Our kids loved playing together and we had a blast arranging marriages and planning their futures as roommates at BYU.
Jill's little Jaycie is an absolute doll and was so sweet to share her many jewels with Abby.
It's hard to believe these two little darlings are just a few months apart. Jaycie is small and Abby is big for their age, but it is still crazy! Jill's husband coaches the girls' basketball team at the high school and I told him I would bring Abby back in about fifteen years. Good luck getting a rebound over that girl! :)
Megan's little Corey is the same age, but he thinks he is about 5 and had no trouble keeping up with the big boys.
Garrett was in heaven playing with all of their toys--especially the swords and guns. (What can I say? Have you ever met his father???) Jill has two older boys and Garrett pretty much idolized them and all of their cool stuff.
A little tramp time is always fun!
Garrett loved playing with Megan's boy, Tate. They are the same age and both have wild imaginations!
Abby and Jaycie got in a little fight over a Cinderella doll before they decided to kiss and make up.
Here we are! We missed Sarah and Christy and their families.
Josey read to the kids and kept them entertained while we were packing up to go and saying our good-byes. Jill met Josey during our freshman year of college and we liked to think we were an active part of their relationship, so it is always so great to see him. I had to come home for the weekend when they were having their first date and I remember calling our apartment at midnight (pre-cell phone era) to see if Jill was home and how the big date went. I'm also pretty sure we stood on Megan's bed more than once to look out the window and spy on them as they were saying goodnight. Embarrassing,I know.
I love these girls and their cute little families and can't wait until we meet again!!!
