A lovely Sunday evening. Birds chirping. Slight breeze blowing. Family and friends gathered. Lawn chairs. Ottomans. Diet Cokes. Kids playing. Visiting. Talking. Laughing.
Little redheaded boy. Sees sprinklers. Runs to them. Grandma not fast enough. Little stinker runs right into sprinklers. Laughs his head off. Soaking wet. Loves it. Can't get enough. Nobody's crazy enough to go in after him. Plays in water for a good 10 minutes while we take pictures and laugh. Decides he's done. Runs to dad. The end.
We are slightly concerned over the fact that we have yet to find anything that Garrett is afraid of. I mean it.
He'll eat everything--lemons, rocks, leaves, bugs, dirt. (He loves to act like he's going to eat something he knows he shouldn't--like a rock, for example--and then giggle when I tell him "NO" and take it from him.)
He loves animals--especially dogs. The bigger the better. His favorite thing to do is stick his hand in Nellie's (Greg's dog) mouth and feel her tongue. He also love horses--especially sticking his fingers up their noses. Gross, I know.
People--yet to find someone he doesn't like. He makes friends everywhere we go. Brian and Sher brought some friends up today to visit. One of whom was a man named Dan who happened to be 6'8" tall--slightly intimidating. Garrett went right to him, put up his arms, and waited for Dan to pick him up. They were buds the rest of the day.
He climbed on the couch the other day and walked right off the edge before I could catch him. Of course, he hit the floor laughing and jumped up to do it again. (I did have to put a stop to that fun little game.)
I always know when there is a spider or bug or something around, because Garrett will be on all fours chasing it. He's always slightly devestated when I squash his new "friend" and throw it in the garbage.
Crazy boy--pretty sure he gets it from his dad.

Natalie, you are so cute! And so is your adorable little boy! I totally remember our road trip-good memories! I'll be checking back on you, too!
I love the pics. He is so cute - better fearless than scared of everything. It will just keep you on your toes.
That was so funny! I got some really cute pictures I will have to get to you. I don't know what you are going to do with this boy- he is crazy! Good thing he is so dang cute!
You said he must get his fearlessness from his dad. That could be true. But I'll tell you this, his grandpa Willy was just like that! Ask Willy how many times he got stung by bees while he was trying to pull their stingers out? Wherever he got stung, he'd swell up bout three times bigger!!! And he would always go back for more as soon as the swelling went down. Many more stories I could tell like that. Kiss him for me and tell him I said, " Water is good, Bees are a no-no!"
