Daddy's Boy!

I love Father’s Day! My life has been blessed by so many wonderful men and I’m grateful to take a day to honor them and let them know how much we appreciate everything they do for us.

Obviously, Father’s Day has had more meaning for us and has been more exciting the past few years with Garrett. The little mister is 100%, totally and completely, a daddy’s boy! He LOVES his dad and wants to do everything with him and go with him everywhere. They are best buds! Garrett has a complete meltdown every time Greg leaves the house without him—which usually includes throwing himself at the door and pounding on it while screaming. I now have to take him in the other room and distract him with something every time Greg is going to leave, but he’s about got that figured out now, so I don’t know what we’ll do. I can truly say the greatest joy in my life is watching the two of them together and seeing the love they have for each other.

Greg and I have both been blessed with awesome fathers. I think it’s safe to say the older we get and the more of life’s challenges we face, the more grateful we are and the more amazing they become in our eyes. Our hope is to be as good of parents to our children as ours were to us—which will be a tough job!
