Spring Break Parts 1 & 2

Spring Break was awesome this year! Garrett got out early in April and had a whole week off of school. Everybody else in Greg's family had Spring Break a few weeks later and planned to come home to Utah. Because we only get to see some of these uncles/aunts/cousins once or twice each year, we decided to let Garrett miss a week of school and enjoy Spring Break Part 2 with the whole Phillips Family. He was doing well in school and hadn't missed a day up to that point, so we figured it was okay to let him miss for this special occasion. It was so much fun and so worth it!

Spring Break Part 1: We spent the week in SLC with Greg's parents. Greg was working down there and we all stayed at his parents' house. The kids hadn't been swimming since the previous fall and were so excited to go--as you can tell by this picture of Abby in her swimming suit.

Garrett woke up with a serious case of scare-hair one morning. This pic doesn't even do it justice, but it was hilarious and he kept looking in the mirror and giggling at himself.

We had lots of fun playing and swimming with our awesome friends, Lisa and Camden. Lisa took us to the coolest pool in Herriman. The kids loved it and couldn't get enough!

Apparently, I didn't take pictures of anything else and can't remember everything else we did, but I do know the rest of the week was super fun!

Spring Break Part 2:
The whole family came up and spent a day playing at our house. The kids (including Eric) had a blast going for skidloader rides and playing on the dirt hill.

Garrett came in and said he had a loose tooth. He has been hoping to lose a tooth for awhile now and I didn't really think his tooth was loose, but he was persistent and so finally we checked it out. Sure enough, it was loose. The brave little guy pulled it out himself and was so excited for the tooth fairy to visit. He was thrilled with the two shiny quarters he found under his pillow the next morning.

We ordered a ginormous pizza from Firehouse and totally cracked up when we couldn't even get it in the house.

Abby attached herself to Aunt Irina and couldn't get enough of her. Irina was so sweet and patient and even painted Abby's nails--a sure way to move quickly to the top of her list!

Grandpa and Grandma took the kids to feed the ducks at a cute little pond by their house. The kids loved it and we couldn't figure out why we hadn't been doing this for years!

We had a family swim day at the Bountiful pool. A good time was had by all!

There was a fun little climbing wall outside the pool. The kids were actually great little climbers and it was a perfect way to wait for everybody to finish changing and getting ready. Brilliant planning by the Bountiful Recreation Department!

We were so sad when the week was over and we had to say good-bye until Christmas. It can't come soon enough!!!
