We have had a spectacular fall this year! The leaves have been absolutely gorgeous and I am sad to see them falling off the trees. I'm not a great photographer and my cheap point-and-shoot doesn't really do it much justice, but it has been beautiful.
We read a newspaper article discussing how the "SV" on the hill was going to be lit up on Homecoming for the first time in several years. Greg was working late that night, so my mom and I took the kids for a drive to check it out. We were pleasantly surprised when the mighty Sky View Bobcats put on a fine fireworks display before lighting the letters. The kids loved it and we couldn't have asked for higher quality, cheap entertainment from the old Alma Mater.
The next day was Junior Aggie Day at the football game. They had lots of fun activities for the kids to do before the game and it was a huge hit! Garrett had been so excited all day to go to the game, but then decided he wanted to stay home and work with Greg. He loves to work with his dad and will choose to do that over just about anything else. I was sad he missed out on the fun with us, but I'm grateful he has such a good dad who makes the time to include Garrett and make him feel special.
We went on this clown ride at least ten consecutive times. Not kidding. Check out Abby's face in the second picture--she was so nervous at first, but then decided it was okay and couldn't get enough!
The kids got to run on the field with the football team and Emily was really excited to do it with her girls and our cousin's daughter, Rylie. :) I was planning on running with Garrett, but lucked out when he wasn't there and Abby didn't care, so we just got to watch from the stands. It was cute and the girls loved it!
We enjoyed visiting and eating Patt's yummy treats. She is such a great host and a wonderful cook!
This was our attempt at getting a picture of the kids...
The adults did a bit better!
