Easter and Other Fun Times

Don't you just love the title of this post? Pretty original, huh?

Garrett and Abby always love snuggling with Daddy.

Brooklyn and Gracie had a sleepover during Brooklyn's Spring Break and the kids were hilarious and so much fun! Here they are getting ready to watch "Chipwrecked." (Cute movie!)

We had such a fun Easter this year. We started things off with the classic small-town Easter Egg Hunt. (Please pretend our children have cute Easter baskets and not ice cream buckets.) Garrett wasn't so interested in gathering Easter eggs. He said, "The Easter Bunny is just going to bring me my own basket so I don't really need this stuff." Wow! Smart kid, huh? He makes a great American citizen: Why work for something I can get for free if I'm lazy enough?

Miss Abby, on the other hand, was all over it and was pretty excited about her treats.

She loved her bucket of goods and refused to put it down or even let anybody else touch it. We played at the park for a bit before heading home and she never let go of her bucket/basket.

Garrett loves to climb to the top of the Jungle Gym and be "The King of All Wild Things."

He also loves pulling funny faces at the camera and then looking at himself. How did we ever survive before digital cameras?

Here's Abbs again with her beloved bucket.

Garrett knew what he was talking about...the Easter Bunny visited our house while we were at the park and left a few surprises. Thank goodness Garrett didn't work too hard at the park gathering eggs so he could focus all of his energies on this awesome basket. (We hired the W.T. Easter Bunny this year. I hope you're impressed with the quality of his work.)

We enjoyed a fun Easter Sunday at Grandpa Willy and Grandma Jan's house. The kids were definitely spoiled and this Easter Bunny was a bit higher class...he used Ziploc bags instead of ice cream buckets. We pretty much rock, don't we?

We were so happy to spend a few days with Mal Pal who was home being a bridesmaid for the 9th time. Isn't she lovely? We love her and keep praying she will return to Utah permanently very soon.

I have never seen a kid more excited about a chocolate bunny...

Abby is obsessed with watches and Mal Pal was sweet enough to share hers for a bit.

Garrett loved this cute little sticker/picture story Grandma Jan played with him.

Hooray for Baby Owen and his pretty momma!

Gini invited us over to swim at her parent's pool on Monday. This was our first swimsuit outing of the season which is always a bit scary for mommy, but we survived. Okay, we more than survived, we had a blast and will definitely be going back for more of that fun!

You're so awesome. I seriously put minimal effort into Easter. It usually turns out to be a wonderful day all on its own. Your kids are so cute!
