This is Halloween!

I have to admit I'm a little sad Halloween is over. We had a great October and did lots of fun things with the kiddos.

A trip to the Pumpkin Walk is always a must! Garrett has been asking about the Pumpkin Walk since the first pumpkin he saw in our garden this year, so it couldn't come soon enough.

We stopped for a little pre-Pumpkin Walk snack at Sonic on the way over. (Our kids are in love with the place.) Abby got an order of "tops" and was more than happy to sit in her stroller the whole time and munch away. On another note--I was substitute teaching that day and Greg got the kids ready. You can't see them very well, but he put Abby's hair in pigtails. He was pretty proud of himself and I was very impressed!

Of course, we loved the Relay for Life display.

And The Wizard of Oz...

And Despicable Me...

What's not to love about Winnie the Pooh?

And Rapunzel...

Baby Ella enjoyed the view from her stroller.

The best display EVER!!!

I still have this book memorized in its entirety from the time Garrett was obsessed with it and we read it multiple times daily. Just sayin...

Almost Prince Charming...

Abbs was really excited about the character cut-outs, but didn't really get the whole concept. We have several nice pictures of every part of her...except her face.

Garrett's pre-school class had a Halloween party and parents were invited to attend. It was fun to be there with him and watch him interact with his beloved "Miss Holly" and little friends.

Our town library had our first-ever Witches' Story Time and it was so much fun! I am the secretary for the library board and was in charge of this activity. I was really nervous about how it would all come together and if anybody would come, but we had an awesome turn-out and our witches were absolutely fabulous!

Each of the families got a picture taken with a witch. Here are my darling nieces!

My mom (the retired elementary school teacher) did an awesome flannel board presentation of the classic story, "Humbug Witch." It was definitely Garrett's favorite part of the whole day!

Garrett the Spooky Skeleton!

Abby the Ladybug.

Here are a billion pictures of the kids in their Halloween costumes. Enjoy!

We hitched a ride trick-or-treating around town with some of our neighbors. Definitely the way to roll!

Then we stopped at the Olsen's barn for hot dogs, warm cider, and a movie.

We headed to Wellsville for the annual Anderson Halloween Bash. Garrett fell asleep on the way down and didn't really want to wake up.

I even got into the fun this year and dressed up as a lovely bumblebee. I felt a bit corny dressing up as an adult, but the look on Garrett's face when I came out in costume was priceless. He was thrilled! (So was Greg, as you can tell.)

And that's a wrap...Halloween of 2011 was a great one!

Garrett loves to watch a YouTube video of "The Skeleton Dance." The song was playing at the Pumpkin Walk and he tried to imitate the dance. It was hilarious!

haha Greg's reaction is very much like what nate's would be like. I think they would be friends.
