Eric + Gini = Forever

So that could be the corniest blog post title ever, but I'm going with it. Greg's little brother Eric married darling Gini on Thursday and it was fabulous. See for yourself:

Mr. and Mrs. Phillips emerge:

Abby loved the music at the reception and spent a good share of the night twirling.

The Highlights:

  • Greg had to work all week, but the kids and I spent the week in SLC hanging out with Uncle Mike, Aunt Mal Pal, "GrandPA Lilly" and "GrandMA Dan." (Garrett says his "Ws" as "Ls" and his "Js" as "Ds." It makes for some fun words.) We also got to play with Annabelle--and Garrett got to "pet" and kiss his new cousin Lydia, so life was good.

  • Mike and Mal were major troopers and got to experience the joy of life with toddlers. They spoiled us and were a huge help. The week wouldn't have been nearly as fun without them. We ate like crazy, strolled through the mall, did some serious YouTubing, watched "Tangled" about 50 times, and just had an all-around blast. Garrett did enjoy his Chuck-E-Cheese outing with Grandpa, Eric, and Uncle Mike while the gals went to Gini's bridal shower. (Don't you just love the thought of 3 grown men taking one 3-year-old to Chuck-E-Cheese? We joked that it must have been an awesome bachelor party for Eric.)

  • Eric and Gini were married by Elder L. Tom Perry of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles. (Click here if you're wondering what an apostle is.) It was a wonderful ceremony and Elder Perry took a few minutes to visit with everybody as we were waiting to talk to Eric and Gini. He is originally from Logan, so I told him I was a Cache Valley girl and he responded by saying, "Oh, then you're CHOICE." It's official and has been confirmed by an apostle: I am a choice woman. I told Greg to remember it. :)

  • Their reception was amazing. Kneaders catered the food and the spread included my all-time favorite: french toast with cream, berries, and caramel syrup.

  • A neighbor of Greg's family said to me, "I didn't know you were pregnant again." I responded by saying, "That's probably because I'm not." OUCH! The bridesmaid dress certainly was not tailor-made to fit me, but I didn't think it was that bad. (I guess maybe I should've gone easy on the french toast...)

  • Garrett peed on his rented tie and had to go tie-less most of the night. Sorry about that!

  • Eric came to tell Mike and Greg good-bye before he left the reception. He really should have known better. Mike said, "Don't forget everything I told you...So, you'll call me in a little while?" and Greg told him, "Break a leg, homey." Awesome.

  • Garrett has been asking me all weekend where Uncle Eric is because he wants to play with him. I told him Eric and Gini were on their honeymoon and he asked me if he could go visit them. We dropped him off last night and we hear he's having a delightful time with the newlyweds in Park City. Thanks, guys!

Haha. I can't wait for the day after Matt's wedding when he comes to Garrett's baseball game. That was such a beautiful reception. Fun times. :) And cute babies. :)

I still love the neighbor that asked if you were pregnant when you are super skinny right now! The reception was great and the food delicious! The kids looked so cute and Abby dancing was the cutest! And I think my favorite highlight of this post is thinking of the 3 men taking Garrett to Chuck-E-Cheese.
