My Soapbox

Every year I look forward to the first weekend in June and the Children's Miracle Network Telethon. I first started watching this as just a kid and have always been so touched by the stories and the sweet kids. (I especially liked it while I was growing up because it was one of the few times we got to watch TV on Sunday.) =) This year, the telethon has had even more meaning for me as I have held my own precious baby. I have been up late watching it and holding Garrett and thinking of how blessed I am to have a healthy baby. The telethon runs until 5:00 Sunday afternoon and you can watch it on KSL (Channel 5). You will be so humbled as you watch the stories of these sick kids and realize the miracles that happen every day because of modern medicine. I would encourage everyone who reads this post to call 1-800-762-7262 and make a donation. Every little bit helps! Maybe I can use my blog to do something good!

I too enjoy watching the telethon, it makes us more grateful every day for a healthy children. Rod & I had a scary experience about 1 1/2 years ago with Dylan and I would never wish that upon anyone!! I love checking in on your blog and hearing what is happening with the family. Have a wonderful summer off with your cute little baby!!

Nat, I was totally laughing when you made your freudian slip ( i don't know how to spell that) thanks for your great comment. You were always one of the happiest and most mature girls all through out school, it always seemed to me that you were wise beyond your years.
