Hawaii--My 2 Year Anniversary!

This week is the anniversary of my trip to Hawaii and I've been feeling a bit nostalgic the past couple of days. I started looking through my pictures today and decided that I would share my wonderful experience with my faithful blog readers. :) (Don't worry--my house is spotless, my laundry is done, my bills are all paid, Garrett has already had tummy time and we've read 5 stories--so I have absolutely nothing else to do. If only...)

My cousin was getting married on the beach in Maui and so a group of us decided it was the perfect excuse to finally take our dream vacation. It was kind of a random group--my mom, my sister Emily, her husband Sean, their daughter Brooklyn, my cousin Janalee, friend Karen, and me. (Greg had absolutely no desire to go. Weird, I know! His idea of a dream vacation is hunting in Spanish Fork Canyon. No beaches for him!)

I can't remember exactly, but I think we spent six days in Oahu and four in Maui. We crammed as much fun as we could into ten days--The Polynesian Cultural Center, Dole Plantation, Waikiki Beach, Pearl Harbor, The Road to Hana, snorkeling (my favorite), swimming, surfing, flea markets, parasailing, you name it! I started each day with a piece of pie from Ted's Bakery. It was an amazing vacation and it's a good thing Greg was at home or else I might have never left the islands.

Just like my keychain reads, "What happens in Hawaii stays with you FOREVER!" (A much better logo than stupid Las Vegas!)

Hawaii really is the best! I love it and it is my favorite vacation by far! It was so great that you guys were able to plan your trip to make it to Jessica's wedding. It was so nice of you to make it!

I LOVE HAWAII. Clayton got to live there for 5 years and I think he owes it to me to take me over there to live! Whenever we go we start many of mornings at Ted's Bakery! Love that place!!!

I have never made it to Hawaii but it is a must before I die. We might just have to plan a Petersen girls get-away in a year or two and have some fun in Hawaii. We miss you guys!

I'm definately jealous, that's awesome you got to go. No, it doesn't make me feel better that it made you feel inferior that Jeff chose me. Jeff was such a flirt and I had no idea that he was dating you at the same time as me. I thought you were just friends. I only found out afterward that he was seeing both of us. I felt totally stupid after I found out I had moved in on your "turf" if you will. If it makes you feel any better he only chose me after I kissed him. At least you had moral integrity! I've always thought you were a beautiful girl, inside and out. I've always looked up to you. It's a shame so many of us struggle with body issues.

It can't have been all that great because I wasn't there.

Oh I miss Hawaii too! I laughed so hard at the comment about Greg not wanting to go, but wanting to hunt....that is such Jordan. Our husbands are so much alike! We really need to get together! When are you going to be in the Salt Lake area again? We honestly should go camping somewhere!

Now I am craving Hawaii even more than I already have been. Maybe we should just take off and go again-- of course, we need to win the lottery first to pay for it! That was an awesome vacation. I don't know if the next trip there could ever top it!

Hawaii is my DREAM vacation...maybe one of these days...it was SO much fun to hang out with you guys while we were up there! I am SO glad that we are keeping close...Garrett has to be the sweetest, cutest baby there ever was...I am SO glad that we FINALLY got to see him and hold him...He is super cute in all of your pictures, but seeing him in person, he is even cuter than in the pictures if you can imagine it!
