Our little man arrived on Sunday, March 9, 2008 at 7:12 PM. He weighed 7 pounds, 6 ounces and was 20 inches long. To make the whole experience really exciting, Greg has had a nasty case of the influenza and I have never seen anybody so sick! We had been to the doctor Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday with Greg, so I was definitely shocked when my water broke Sunday morning at 6:00 AM. I wasn't due until Thursday, March 13, and I was praying I would go past my due date so Greg could get better. Greg was so sick he could barely lift his head off the pillow, so my mom ended up taking me to the hospital. (To make the story even better, my sister was blessing her baby that morning, so my mom took me to the hospital, got me settled, and then dashed off just in time to see Gracie get blessed.) Greg's parents came and took care of him at home while my parents were with me in the hospital. Around 5:00 PM, the doctor said it was getting close, so we called and they brought Greg to the hospital. He was able to stand up for just a few minutes when Garrett was born, but didn't actually hold him until Wednesday. My mom brought Greg home and slowly nursed him back to health while my Aunt Paula stayed with me in the hospital. It has been a crazy week and is definitely not what we planned, but Garrett and I are doing great and Greg is getting better every day. Garrett is such a sweetheart and has the cutest red hair you've ever seen! We are so grateful to have him here. Enjoy the pictures!

I am so exited for you!! Your little family is so beautiful!! That is so sad that Greg was so sick for the whole experience!! It will be a good story to tell later though!! I am so glad that you started a blog, I have been wanting to call you but I couldn't find a number or email for you. I knew that you were pregnant and probably already had him. I am glad that you are doing so well!!
